How to choose a pet๐Ÿพ

Getting a pet is all fun and games until you face the reality check. Taking good care of your new family member’s needs, locating all the nearby pet-shops, fetching all the supplies, planning daily meals, googling what your pet can eat, regular visits to a vet, cleaning pee & poop, taking out time DAILY for playing with your pet, can end up being so exhausting as well as overwhelming.

A pet is a cute little bundle of joy that lights up your whole house. They’re the real companions, the BFFs and eventually become our soulmates.

So if you’ve made up your mind and you’re thinking of getting a pet then i can help you to choose a pet according to your requirements and personality.

Dog ๐Ÿถ

Ever heard the saying, โ€œA dog is a manโ€™s best friendโ€?? Okay so one of the most practical reasons of having a dog as a pet is that they guard your home & your loved ones. They’re extremely loving creatures. Dogs are very attentive and with time & experience you can teach them tricks as well as commands. Dogs keep you healthy & active as they’re very playful. They’re the best stress reliever. You never feel alone when you have a dog at your home.

Cat๐Ÿฑ

Cats are the total fur-balls. Petting a cat has a positive calming effect and it is believed that cats help in reducing stress levels. Their way of showing affection is very different from the dogs and because of this reason some people think that cats are not affectionate. The kinda stay in their own zone and cats are not much playful too. Hair-shedding problem exists with cats too. Salon & Spa sessions are somehow unavoidable.

Fish๐Ÿ

Fish aquariums look so aesthetically pleasing and instantly make our home look better. Fishes make a wonderful pet for those people who have limited space or a compact house. Lesser maintenance is sufficient as you don’t have to bother about frequent showers, nail clipping sessions or daily hair combing requirement. Apart from that, in some cultures, it is believed that keeping fish aquariums at home, brings good luck.

Turtle ๐Ÿข

In Hindu mythology it is written that the giant turtle Kurma is an avatar of  Lord Vishnu. It is also believed that the turtle take the burden of whole world. People keep them in the house because of their longevity, they have the average life span of 50 to 60 years. They require less space. But the maintenance requirements are much higher than fishes. They are messy eaters and produce a lot of waste. As they keep on moving around, on the floor, so it becomes very difficult to trace and look out for them.

Birds๐Ÿฆœ

Birds are very attractive & interesting to keep around. Parrots can be taught different commands and they repeat after you too. There is nothing as soothing as the chirping sparrows. They are very low maintenance. It’s quite inexpensive to feed them. They take very little space. Birds are extremely intelligent. But according to my personal opinion, I don’t prefer keeping birds in cages. They’re meant to fly high.

So guys that’s my take on choosing the pet according to your personality. I hope you enjoyed reading it.

Take care. Bbye ๐Ÿฆ‹

Journey from a Night Owl to an Early Bird.

When it comes to bedtime, is it better to be a night owl ๐Ÿฆ‰ or an early birdie ๐Ÿฆ!? This question bugged me almost all my life.

So there are two kinds of sleepers in this world. Night owls who are at their best in the evening and go to bed very late & early risers who subscribe to “Early-to-bed & Early-to-Rise” lifestyle.

Personally I’ve always preferred being a night owl rather than waking up early in the morning. I never liked the idea of getting up so early. Even the thought of it used to make me so anxious.

I still remember how traumatic it used to get, when we friends had to go on a morning hiking ๐Ÿฅพ trip or I had to appear for some competitive exam. Even a work meeting with an early call time used to give me panic attack. From nausea to headaches, ughhhhhh.. it was the worst feeling ever.

But from past 6-7 months my lifestyle has changed drastically. I’ve consciously started following a disciplined routine. Now I can’t sleep after 7 am. I usually wake up by 5:30. Then I drink 2 tall glasses of water, do my morning skincare regimen, feed my dog & then we go for a morning run. By the time it’s 9 am I’m almost done with all the tasks & feel very energetic for the whole day’s work.

This change didn’t happen overnight. Long story short, I was really stressed out due to some office issues, started putting on unhealthy weight, became the grumpiest person ever & what not.

I started reading some self-help motivational books & realised that waking up early could be the remedy I’m looking for!

Trust me, it really helped. As I’m up early, I complete most of the tasks before time. I get enough time for morning run, meditation & yoga. My mood stays chirpy throughout the day. I’m totally loving this lifestyle change that I made.๐Ÿ™‚

    Magical Horoscopes๐Ÿ”ฎ

Whenever I’m going through a good phase in my life, I don’t give a damn about what my horoscope says. But the tables turn when things get a little bit harder. When times get rough and boy, they do they get really rough sometimes we need some magical reminders ๐Ÿ“ฉ to bring us back to life. Because when I get in troubles, if the reading says that I am in a lucky day, I can think my troubles are just some kind of mistakes, and if the reading says that I am in the unlucky day, I can think that my troubles are just because of my bad luck. Either ways, I can know the reason of my troubles.

Generally I enjoy fortune readings! My mornings start with a fresh dose of “Daily Horoscope” from this random app I have downloaded on my phone.

Recently I realised that I’ve become so addicted to these readings that if I fail to read it then I feel something is missing throughout my day. This habit is so engrossing that I feel like I’m being enslaved. So I’m trying to reduce my level of addiction to fortune readings.

    Do you read horoscopes too?
